Windham Hill music is many things to many people – and one of the largest is music to play over the winter holidays. Check out a new site dedicated to the many holiday albums released on Windham Hill Records over the years, from the very first Winter Solstice album through more recent reissues. http://www.awintersolstice.com
I have the original Sampler, Winter into Spring and others from the late 70’s and early 80’s. Windom Hill Music is timeless and
Winter Solstice is the classic collection for the end of each and every year. I’ve listened to it 30 or 40 times over the last three weeks and have done so for over 30 years . . . Thank You, W.H.
Ah yes! Love the Solstice and holiday projects. Has anyone lent their ears to the works of Douglas Trowbridge/Richard Souther (same person)? Worth the effort. Piano compositions with the Windam Hill sound in my opinion . richardsouther.com
Found a Windam Hill release I did not see on this site. Was it not included because it was to commercial?
1980 “Santabear’s First Christmas” narrated by Kelly McGillis and muscial scoring by Michael Hedges.
I should add it. These were not released on the main label, so I wasn’t as concerned about completeness.
Do you know what is the location of the Celtic Christmas II cover photo?
Thank you,
Greg Thornton
